Barn Quilt Tours of Carver County MN has new tours, barn quilts, gifts and souvenirs for our guests.
If you are a Tour Planner and looking for something new and experiential to offer your guests this year – consider one of the many exciting Barn Quilt Tours or Speaking Engagements.
Barn Quilts are quilt patterns, drawn to scale and painted on wooden panels that are hung on exterior walls of historic barns. These beautiful pieces of artwork highlight the art of quilting while showcasing Carver County’s historic agricultural icons.
Within each quilt block chosen by the family, lies a story to be told and an experience to be shared. With a local step-on-guide, you’ll also learn about the history of Carver County, the farms, and visit other attractions including stops at area wineries, breweries, a distillery, orchard, creamery and Quilt Shop.
New Tours for 2018 – all with Barn Quilts of Carver County MN incorporated as part of the tour:
- Art & Wine Tour – from the scenic lakes and attractions, to the art centers and galleries, a tapestry of indoor and outdoor art exhibits await you.
- Barn Quilt Art, Beer & Spirits Tour – we’ll visit various farm sites, barn quilts, a brewery and distillery, learning how local county heritage and art is tied together with these establishments.
- Llamas, Lakes & Leisure Tour –we’ll spend a day enjoying loveable llamas, local lakes and tales of lore.
Current Barn Quilt Tours:
- The Applique Loop –views nine (9) farm sites and seventeen (17) quilts, in the Waconia & Cologne, MN area
- The Thimble Loop –views seven (7) quilts, in the Chaska, Chanhassen, Victoria & Carver, MN area
- The Stitch Loop – views six (6) barn quilts, in the Norwood Young America, Mayer & Hamburg MN area
With more than 25 blocks on display, the tours can be progressive in nature showcasing different quilts each time.
The barn quilts are a permanent display of artwork and part of the fabric of our community. Located just 40 minutes west of the Twin Cities, we invite you to spend the day with us to visit our open-air art gallery while touring the beautiful countryside of Carver County, MN.
