Barn Quilts of Carver County in Snowy Settings – Part 2

2nd photo – Barckhoff

This is a custom block. It is Jack Barckhoff’s “German Family Crest” in Victoria, MN.

3rd Photo – Kelzer

“Tumbling Block” is a traditional pattern chosen here to honor Steve  Kelzer’s mastery of parquetry. Chaska, MN.

4th photo – Kerber

“Goose on the Pond” is now part of the MN Landscape Arboretum, but the pattern was selected by the original owner, the Kerber family. The top of the building used to house migrant workers. Chaska, MN.

5th photo – Schreiner

Being framed by a new coat of paint on the barn and freshly fallen snow,  Schreiner’s “Trip Around the World” quilt pattern stands out vividly. Cologne, MN.
